Day 3 (July 4th)

Happy July 4th to all! We celebrated a very patriotic one today in Madison, Alabama, with the Brooks family. After waking up to a nice breakfast made by Mrs. Ellen we went off to a nice church service at the Brook Church (well isn't that ironic?). Afterwards, we enjoyed a nice patriotic lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs and then some games such as hillbilly golf & cornhole (while Davis and Isaac Brooks were swimming). Mr. Dan, Dad, Grady, and I then embarked on a mini-tour of some sights in the Madison/Huntsville area- including historic Madison, the Space Center and a monkey's grave, his office, a ghost rider bike memorial (a bike spray-painted white by a local bike club placed at the scene of a bike death), his office, & 2 disc golf courses (one on the campus of the University of Alabama-Huntsville). Then, we returned to Madison to teach Mr. Dan to play Bocce ball; and he, Dad, Grady, and Claire went to play disc golf at one of the courses followed by dinner and playing hide and go seek with Davis & Isaac. The night finished off with fireworks near the Madison library & playing Bible Brainstorm with Grady, Claire, Mrs. Ellen, and Mom. Pics to come 'REAL SOON' as time allows.
